Community Open Day - Training Camp

Join the Australian Deaf Rugby Union as we open our final training session to the community before departing for the 2026 Deaf Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The afternoon will feature an open training session, giving supporters, families and the wider community the opportunity to watch our Australian men's and women's teams prepare to represent the green and gold on the world stage.
We warmly invite members of the Deaf community, Deaf organisations, schools, friends, families, local rugby clubs and media to come along, meet the team, and help send them off to Japan.
This is more than just a training session—it's a celebration of Deaf sport, community, and the incredible athletes who are proudly representing Australia at the Deaf Rugby World Cup.

Deaf Rugby World Cup

In 2026, the world’s best deaf rugby athletes will gather in Japan for the World Deaf Rugby Sevens Championship — and Australian Deaf Rugby will be there.
This tournament represents the pinnacle of international deaf rugby, bringing together elite men’s and women’s teams from across the globe. For ADR, it is an opportunity to compete with pride, represent our nation, and showcase the strength and spirit of Australia’s deaf and hard-of-hearing rugby community on the world stage.
Open Trial
Saturday 18th April, 2026
Rawson Oval. Mosman, Sydney.
Australian Deaf Rugby invites eligible players to attend our upcoming Open Trial at Rawson Oval, Mosman, as we begin preparations for the upcoming Deaf Rugby World Cup in Japan.
This trial is open to both men and women seeking selection into our national representative squads. The session will provide an opportunity to showcase your skills, meet the coaching staff, and take the next step in representing Australia on the international stage.
We welcome both experienced players and those new to the ADR program who meet eligibility requirements.
Time: 10am - 3pm.
